Basic List-building tool: Your Autoresponder

So you’re told you have to build your list. But just exactly what does that mean?
In a nutshell, it means you have to somehow find ways to gather a group of people with whom you can communicate about your business. You may have “Twitter Followers”, or Facebook Friends, or even your own Contact List from your e-mail client(s).
But here’s where the real gold is found… it’s in your ability to keep in touch with them easily, and automatically. Call in the autoresponder.
I gotta tell you… I struggled with this part of list building. I had an awful time trying to figure out the twists and turns, nooks and crannies of these beasts until I finally settled down and returned to a long-time friend, Tom Kutzler and Aweber.
Why Aweber?
For me, they have the intuitive training program, and that’s just what I needed. I wanted someone to take me by the hand and show me each teensy step (don’t you dare leave any out), as I created my actual autoresponder account, set up all the required confirmation e-mails, and finally created the form to place on my web site.
They have awesome videos, and if you’re really in need of help, they conduct two training conferences each week for free.
Once you’ve got this critter running, the fun begins.
You need to create a reason for folks to get on your list, and then you need to keep them there by providing the information (and products) they wanted when they joined your list.
